Date ranges and pinned ranges

Change the period of a report, use Real-time, and pin a range you use often.

Every report has a date selector at the top. The period you choose applies to every number on the page.

Choose a period

Open the date selector and choose one of these:

  • Last 30 minutes: the chart shows each minute. On the Dashboard, the page loads new data once a minute.
  • Last 24 hours: the 24 hours up to now, by hour. This is not the same as Today, which starts at midnight.
  • Today, Yesterday
  • Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days
  • This month, Previous month
  • Custom range: choose a start and an end date, then click Apply. A custom range can be up to 366 days long.
  • Real-time: see the visitors of the last 5 minutes. The page updates by itself.

Days start and end in the timezone of the website. You can change the timezone in Settings › General.

Compare two periods

Use Compare to in the date selector to choose what the change on each tile is measured against:

  • Previous period: the period of the same length just before. For "Last 7 days", this is the 7 days before them.
  • Previous year: the same dates one year earlier.

Pin a range

Pin a custom range that you use often, such as a sale or a launch week. It then shows at the top of the date selector.

  1. Choose Custom range and apply the dates.
  2. Open the date selector again. Under Pin this range as, type a name, for example Black Friday.
  3. Click Pin.
  • Each website can have up to 10 pinned ranges.
  • A name can have up to 40 characters.
  • To remove a pin, click the × next to it.

A report opens on Last 7 days. The period you choose is in the page address, so you can bookmark it. Use the Refresh button next to the date selector to load the newest data.
