Share a public dashboard

Let anyone with a secret link see the main numbers of a website.

A public dashboard lets anyone with a secret link see the main numbers of your website, without an account. Use it to share your traffic with your audience, investors, or a client.

Turn it on

  1. Open the website and click Settings in the sidebar.
  2. Find the Public dashboard card.
  3. Click Make a public link.
  4. Click Copy and share the link.

What it shows

  • Your Dashboard tiles and your #1 KPI, except Revenue and Revenue per visitor.
  • The visitors chart, with the previous period and your chart notes.
  • The map, and the top 10 pages, sources, countries, and devices.

A person with the link can change the date range. The public dashboard does not show:

  • Revenue and Revenue per visitor, also when one of them is your #1 KPI.
  • Single visitors, their journeys, or identified email addresses.
  • Real-time data, report filters, or your pinned ranges.
  • Your settings, or any other page of your account.

Everyone who has the link can open the dashboard. Search engines are told not to index it, but a person can still share the link further.

Make a new link or turn it off

  • Make a new link: the old link stops working at once. Use this if the link got to a person who must not see it.
  • Turn off: the link stops working. You can turn the dashboard on again later. It then gets a new link.

The public dashboard also stops working while your plan is not active.

Public dashboard or team member?

A public dashboard is for people who only need the main numbers. To give one person all the reports, invite them as a team member. They need a Google account to sign in.
