Globe

See your visitors on a 3D globe or a 2D map.

The Globe shows your visitors on a world globe. Each visitor is a small face, placed on their country. Open Globe in the sidebar.

Use the Globe

  • Drag to turn the 3D globe. On the 2D map, drag to move and scroll to zoom.
  • Select a face (hover, click, or tap) to see that visitor's card: their made-up name, country, and the pages of their journey.
  • Switch between the 3D globe and a flat 2D map with the buttons in the control bar.
  • Choose the color or the monochrome look of the 3D globe. Your browser remembers the choice.
  • Use the date selector to choose the period. In Real-time, the Globe updates every 10 seconds.

Replay the last 8 hours

Press the clock button in the control bar to replay the last 8 hours. The Globe plays them in steps of 15 minutes and shows the visitors who were on your website in each step.

  • Press play or pause in the replay bar.
  • Move the time slider to go to a step.
  • The times are in your website's time zone. The last step ends now.
  • A step shows at most 80 faces, the newest ones. The replay has the newest 1,000 visits.
  • Close the replay to see your date range or Real-time again.

The radio

The Globe has a small lofi radio. Press play to hear calm music while you watch your visitors. The tracks are free to use (CC0) and play from the Dodolytics server.

Good to know

  • A face is placed at the center of the visitor's country, not at their exact location.
  • The Globe has no report filters.
  • Use Recenter to go back to the start view, and Start auto-pan to let the globe turn by itself.
  • On a phone, the controls are a bar at the bottom of the screen.
