Connect revenue
Connect Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, Dodo Payments, Polar, or Paddle.
Connect your payment provider to see your revenue next to your traffic. Dodolytics reads your payments. It cannot charge, refund, or change anything.
Supported providers
- Stripe: sign in to Stripe and approve read access.
- Lemon Squeezy, Dodo Payments, Polar, and Paddle: paste an API key.
A website can connect more than one provider, for example Stripe and Paddle. It can connect each provider one time.
Connect a provider
- Open the website and click Settings in the sidebar.
- Find the Revenue card and click Connect next to your provider.
- For Stripe, sign in and approve. For the others, paste your API key and click Connect.
- The first sync starts within 15 minutes. After that, Dodolytics checks for new payments every 15 minutes.
To add a second provider, use Connect another processor in the same card. The Revenue report and the Dashboard then show the payments of all connected providers together.
If a provider shows "Not available on this install yet", it is not set up on this Dodolytics server.
Which API key to use
- Lemon Squeezy and Dodo Payments: make an API key in your provider's dashboard. If your key has access to more than one store, also type the Store ID.
- Polar: an Organization Access Token with the
orders:readscope. Addorganizations:readto show your organization's name. - Paddle: a live API key (not a sandbox key) with
transaction.readandcustomer.read.
Dodolytics stores the key encrypted.
The Revenue report
Open Revenue in the sidebar. You see:
- A tile for each currency, with its total in the selected period. The largest total is first.
- Revenue over time: a chart. If you have more than one currency, the chart shows the currency with the largest total.
- First and repeat payments: new customers against returning customers, by their email.
- Revenue by first visit: which sources, campaigns, countries, devices, and landing pages bring paying customers, with the Lifetime value of their customers. This needs revenue attribution.
- Transactions: the list of payments. Use Export CSV to download it.
The Dashboard also gets a Revenue tile and a revenue line on its chart.
Reconnect or disconnect
- If a key stops working, the report shows "Needs reconnect". Click Reconnect on the Settings page.
- Disconnect removes the connection of that one provider and deletes the revenue data synced from it. The other providers stay connected. Your data at the provider does not change.
Paddle: Dodolytics does not see Paddle refunds. A refunded Paddle payment still counts as revenue.
